Ruby teaching the other children about "Tens" and "Ones"~
"You can only put nine on here. See, when you get to ten, they won't fit so you have to pick them all up and trade them in for one of these! A tens rod and put it on the Tens side!"
I LOVE this! Sure wish my second graders had had experiences like this to learn place value!!
