So thankful for time outside in the warm sunshine today!

My heart needed this...

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Look! God's dwelling place is now among the people, and He will dwell with them. They will be His people and God Himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" 

Revelation 21:3-5

This life with God will satisfy every sense of loneliness and alienation ever experienced by a human heart. 

It will exponentially intensify every joy. All of us were made for this! 

April 13

~Getting used to our new way to bring home groceries~

When you can't carry all your bags home, you just take the cart up the elevator, wheel it into your kitchen, unload and put away your food, then return your empty cart to Harris Teeter downstairs. Sweet! I can only imagine how amazing this is going to be when its raining or in the winter when it's super cold or all those other days when I just don't feel like driving anywhere. This may be my new favorite thing! 

April 12

 It's been a day for embracing our new town....

Today's trip the the Department of Motor Vehicles went off without a hitch! 

Well, for me at least. I was in and out in record time and am now a licensed Virginia driver.

 Scott, on the other hand, needed something else on his paperwork. Which is funny, because we had exactly the same paperwork. Oh, well, it wouldn't feel like a real move if it didn't take at least two, if not three, trips to the DMV! Here's to getting it right on the next try!

A full day of relocation errands and then.....

Take me out to the Ballgame!!

Our first time to Nationals Park to cheer for the Nats as our home team,

and our super cool, Braves' fan, nephew Jackson made it on the Fearless Dance Cam!!

A chilly and fun family evening at the ballpark made even better by some runs scored in the 8th inning!

Thankful for time with Rawli and Potch to enjoy exploring our new neighborhood, having a delicious lunch at a newfound favorite place, and learning from Rawli's pop music expertise!

Finding immediate dinner seating for a party of thirteen may not have proved successful, 

but what a gorgeous treat we would have missed if we hadn't braved the cold evening at National Harbor!

I don't know whether I'm more amazed that there's a giant head coming out of the sand,

or that I successfully completed my first attempt at DC driving again!!
